This website
What we collect
Your email address and the products you're interested in. If you choose to answer the optional questions, we also keep your name, outlet or channel, the computer you edit on, whether you have a shoot coming up, and whether you already send a newsletter. We note where you found us (for example, a flyer at an event).
What we use it for
Only to contact you about early access to InstantEditor and Sently, and to choose founding beta testers. We never sell or rent your information.
Where it lives
Signups are stored in the database behind Sently, our own email platform, hosted in the United States. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all further email.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and show us how people find us. It doesn't receive your signup details.
The InstantEditor app
InstantEditor runs on your Mac. Your footage, projects and edits stay on your computer; we don't upload your video files.
Your account and AI features
If you sign in to InstantEditor, we keep your email address, your license, and how much AI credit you've used. When you use an AI feature (for example, planning a shoot or writing a script), the text needed for that request, such as your transcript, notes and channel summary, is sent to Anthropic, which provides the AI model. If you use InstantEditor's AI credit, the request passes through our server on its way to Anthropic; if you add your own Anthropic key, it goes straight from your Mac to Anthropic. We don't keep the contents of those requests, and Anthropic doesn't use API requests to train its models. If you send feedback from the app, we keep your message and any app logs attached to it.
Connecting your YouTube channel
Connecting YouTube is optional. When you choose "Connect YouTube", you sign in with Google and InstantEditor asks for read-only access to your YouTube account and YouTube Analytics. InstantEditor uses YouTube API Services to do this.
- What it reads: your channel's name and ID, your videos' titles and public stats, and your channel analytics, such as views, watch time, average view duration, traffic sources and the YouTube search terms that led people to your videos.
- What it's used for: only to show you how your channel performs and to tailor your shoot plans and scripts to what works for your audience. InstantEditor can't upload, edit, delete or comment on anything on your channel.
- Where it's kept: the sign-in token is stored in your Mac's Keychain. Your analytics are read when you need them and kept on your Mac; they are not stored on our servers. When you use an AI feature, a short summary of your analytics may be included in the request sent to Anthropic, as described above.
- Sharing: we don't sell your YouTube data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except as needed to provide the AI features you ask for.
- Disconnecting: click "Disconnect" in InstantEditor, which removes the token from your Mac and revokes it with Google. You can also remove InstantEditor's access at any time on your Google Account permissions page.
InstantEditor's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. By connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Deleting your information
Email hello@ahginnovations.com, or reply to any email from us, and we'll delete your signup or account. YouTube data lives only on your Mac, so disconnecting YouTube or deleting the app removes it.
